Our first year of married life, 2002, started with a wedding anniversary party for Alan and Tina, held at Ash's flat and including some music and fireworks. Also present Verkerk and Dale families.
Itsuka entered a busking festival competition in Waimate and won first prize -$100, money which helped in the purchase of an electric guitar -Itsuka seen here playing it at our farewell party (playing a favourite Shadows number -"Footapper").
Before embarking upon our move to the North Island we took a short journey around the mainland....
...stopping at Fox Glacier....
...and Shantytown and Hokitika to buy some greenstone....
...visitng the Pancake Rocks...
...and finally ending up in Christchurch, where we met up with cousin Stephen and Itsuka's friend from Japan.
