Who is he?

Sydney grew up in Europe with his twin brother Jacob (and family) until the Holocaust. Because he was a twin, he was locked in a camp. Once free he discovered that he and his brother were the only ones of his family to survive. They came to America and both started to work for the Centre. It's seems that Jacob aided in the stealing of Jarod from his family. Sydney began to work with Jarod, becoming his guide, parental figure, and friend. Sydney helped Jarod through all his simulations. When Sydney was driving with Jacob one evening, he swerved to miss another car, flinging Jacob from the vehicle. Jacob remained in a coma for the next thirty years. Sydney was never aware of Jarod's sims being used for evil purposes, and now that Jarod is free, he seems to want it that way. Jacob awoke from the coma, only to die a few days later.

Sydney has a son, with a woman who was threatened by the Centre. They told to get out of Sydney's life, so he could focus all his work on Jarod and the project. She left, and with Jarod's help he found her and his son several years later. Sydney remains on the man hunt for Jarod, even if catching Jarod isn't his goal.
