Student's Compositions

Parkdale Collegiate Institute Music Department

The following are student's works that are in progress. Please keep in mind that these are midi files that lack any type of expression. Please consider these to be "skeletons" of broader musical works that can be filled out and be expressive when played on live instruments.

The students final musical compositions are due May 5, 2003, after which date I will help them arrange them for string orchestra. Enjoy!

David - Theme: The Grenadiers marching across the pond. There is a legend that the Grenadiers (a group of soldiers) marched across a pond in High Park and drowned. The pond is rumoured to be bottomless and they were never found.

Betty - Theme: Birds

Lindsay - Theme: Playing in High Park. Lindsay said that he used to play in High Park as a child and so this is what his theme is. Lindsay is a bass player and so his melody is in the bass line.

Si Wei - Theme: Swans
