You Can Be Genuine

 

1. What do you think it means to be genuine about your faith?  What characteristics displayed by some people make you question their sincerity?

 

 

 

2.  Read James 1:22-27.  What dangers are presented in this passage? 

 

 

 

3.  Fill out the questionnaire included with this study.

 

 

        -Based on this questionnaire, what areas do you think you might need to work on in your walk with God?

 

 

4.  Read James 2:14-17.  What does this say about faith? 

 

 

        -Why do you think people perform works of charity without faith in God? 

 

 

 

5.   What do you think it means to deceive one’s self (vs22)?

 

        -How can this be avoided? 

 

 

6.  Read Mathew 15:18.  What does this passage reveal about the importance of what you say? 

 

 

       

 

7.  Write down some things that you feel are worthy of your time and would show Christ’s love to others.  Then look for or make the opportunities to carry out these actions.
