1. What are some ways that your way of life is different from your parents?

2. How did the leaders of the Jerusalem church respond to Paul’s report? (21:20) What concerns did they have?

3. Why did the leaders make the suggestion for Paul to join the purification rites? (21:22-24) Why do you think they also suggested that he pay for the expenses of the other men?

4. What can we learn from this with respect to entering a foreign culture? (Think perhaps of

missionaries - how far should they assimilate into the culture?)

5. When are Christians often tempted to make a rule or tradition as important as God’s written word? Think of some examples.
