Who is the Baron of Kinsale and what is his profession?
One of the things that happened at Pentecost was that everyone could hear ‘about God’s deeds of power’ in their own languages. What Old Testament event was this a reversal of and what is the significance?
In what ways did different people react to the happenings at Pentecost (see 2:12-13)? What can we learn from this with regard to evangelism but also with regard to our attitudes to other churches / believers who express their faith / worship differently?
When Peter stood up to preach who stood with him (2:14)? What was Peter’s defence and how did he explain what was going on?
How did the hearers respond to Peter’s words (see 2:37)?

In answering the people’s question, Peter said “repent, and be baptized” (2:38). What is the significance of baptism to you?

What would the apostle’s teaching have been like compared to today’s preaching?
The growth of the early church was rapid (2:41, 47). Why do you think the growth in Canada is / isn’t similar?
