Evangelism is not just an option in our christian life. Jesus commands that we "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you..." (Mt 28:19) Evangelism is a necessary and essential part of church life and growth. Park Avenue actively practices evangelism every week. We visit those who visit us, go door to door in our neighborhoods to speak with people about salvation , and visit those who others request us to. We at Park also offer a class for those who are seeking what they need to do to be saved at all times. There is also a class for the new christians available at all times to help the new christians to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe it is just as important to keep those who are saved as well as to reach out to those who are not saved. We do not teach the traditions of men but only the gospel that saves (Ro 1:16) We like Paul "determine not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified" (1Co 2:2) The Gospel is about Jesus Christ (Ga 6:14), His death, burial, resurrection, and a continuing belief in these truths (1Co 15:1-4).
