Benevolence Ministry
Helping those who are in need

Coordinator: Isaiah Echols

The Park Avenue Benevolent Ministry exists to serve the needs of the community through pantry services, information & referral, counseling, spiritual guidance and prayer.  Matthew 26:11 tells that the poor will be with us always and it is our intention to serve those poor in spirit as well as those who are less fortunate in a wholistic way.  Our customers do not always leave with what they request, but the information where their needs can be met is freely given.

We in the Benevolent ministry realize that we cannot give until we first receive.  We cannot buy God's love nor can we purchase His mercy.  All we can do in receiving God's gifts is to simply receive them with gratitude.  We are then able to give only out of what we receive.  God's grace is received by faith.

Walk-ins are accepted, but we encourage you to call the building and make an appointment, 635-5580.  Please indicate your need as you leave your message.  Your detailed messages will then be forwarded to Isaiah Echols II; Deacon of the Benevolent ministry and an appointment will be set up.  We thank God we are in a position to serve God's people.
