| [hard way] You will need: Paraffin wax Coconut oil Petroleum jelly Candy melts (to color the gloss and make it taste sweet) Oil-based candy flavoring (if you want a special flavor) Grator Wax paper Measuring spoons Plastic bag with seal Large bowl Scissors Small container (1/2 ounce size the best) Where to find it: Coconut oil: Beauty department or health food store Paraffin wax: Grocery or craft store Containers: Recycled old makeup containers, or look in stores that carry beads, crafts, or fishing tackle. Oil-based candy flavorings or candy melts: Craft store or specialty candy-making supply store What you need to do: 1. Ask a friend to help you grate some paraffin wax onto wax paper. Measure 1/4 teaspoon grated wax into the plastic bag. 2. Add 1 teaspoon coconut oil, 1 teaspoon petroleum jelly, and 1 candy melt. Add 1/8 teaspoon oil-based candy flavoring you like. 3. Seal the bag. Carefully put it in a bowl of hot tap water to melt ingredients (3 to 5 minutes). Change the water if it cools. Use only hot tap water. Never use a microwave or stove to heat. 4. While you're waiting, wash the small container with soap and water. Dry completely. Remove the bad from water. Squish ingredients around in bag to mix. Work quckly. 5. Clip off a tiny corner of the bag and squeeze gloss into the container. Let it set for an hour, or put it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. 6. Use a cotton swab instead of your finger to apply gloss. Your lip gloss should last a long time. It it changes color, odor, or texture, though, throw it away. GOOD LUCK!!! |

| [easy way] you will need: 2 teaspoons of vaseline lip stick spoon small jar contaner vanilla directions: 1. put 2 teaspoons of vaseline in a small jar. 2. shred the top of the color lip stick you want your lipgloss color to be by using a spoon and put into the same small jar. 3. mix the ingrediences all up. 4. if you want a flavor add 2 little drops of vanilla. 5. whoalah! you made a easy, shiny lip gloss! |
