First Window - West Side
This window was presented on the 50th anniversary of the wedding of Roy & Ethel Meisner.
The notes at the top of the window - Amazing Grace - recall Ethel's interest in music. She played the organ for Sunday School and for church services.
The dove symbolizes the Holy Spirit. The two circles - wedding bands intertwined, unbroken.
The boat and the water recall that fishing provided part of the Meisner livelihood. Fishing was an important Blandford industry for many years. After Roy retired he built fourteen model boats. Flowers are those of the children's birthdays:
Barbara - gladiolus, August
Sheila - chrysanthemum, November
Carrol & Carolyn - marigold, October
George - snowflake, January
The Horn of Plenty recalls Roy's joy and success in gardening.
The cross represents the hope the family will be guided by its teachings.
