The Paris Guide
Bus routes with a view

There are a few bus routes that are great because they pass by sights worth seeing and they cost a lot less than a private tour.  Of course, try and take these when you are able to get a seat and can see out the window to make it worthwhile.  Below are the lines and some of the sights these pass by.

No. 29
Gare St. Lazare, Opera Garnier, Centre Pompidou, the center of the Marais, Place des Vosges, Bastille.  It runs primarily on smaller streets, which is rare.

No. 69
Champs de Mars, Eiffel Tower, Quartier Latin, across the Seine, Le Louvre, Hotel de Ville, Bastille area

No. 72
Along the Seine from the Hotel de Ville, Le Louvre, Trocadero, Eiffel Tower, Invalides.

No. 73
Champs-ELysees, Place de la Concorde, across the Seine, Musee d'Orsay.

No. 84
Pantheon, Jardin du Luxembourg, St Germain des Pres, across the Seine, Place de la Concorde, Madeleine, Parc Monceau.
