The Paris Guide
Money

The exchange rate changes daily between France and the United States, so follow this link to get the most up to the minute information on the exchange rate.

I suggest converting some dollars into francs prior to leaving for France. Just in case there is an emergency or you need to pay for something before you have time to find a Bureau de Change, having some francs would be safe. There are places all over the city to exchange money. All banks will do it, but I recommend finding a little place out of the way because often times they will have better rates because of less business. Just keep your eyes open because the rate changes daily.

Below are some costs for typical items in Paris. (This is assuming $1~6F) As the number of francs to the dollar increases, these costs will decrease and vice versa. This is not exact in any way, but it is just meant to help you get a better idea of prices in Paris.
