An Architectural History |
|
Probably
the single, most important reason that I love Paris and it is my favorite
city in the world is the architecture. Architecture is another passion
of mine and I have looked at buildings of all designs around the world, but
for me there is nothing like that of Parisian architecture. It is far
and away my favorite. I have never seen anything more beautiful.
It is not just the grand and spectacular buildings such as the Opera or
Louvre impress me, but every little building is perfectly beautiful to
me. I have read books on architecture's development in Paris and I hope
to convey some of that knowledge here. I have organized this
section into different time periods, spanning from the Renaissance to
Modern-day, to describe how it has developed through the years.
