Description:

 

Retail Processing System (RPS) is the Retail Banking application, which is currently running in HTSE. 

Offshore work for various modules of RPS system is performed at GLT Pune since May 2005.  Several individual project teams were built initially, although with the projects closing and restarting, plus the need for variable numbers on each team, it was decided to create a resource pool within GLT, to satisfy future RPS resource requirements.  A small team of ‘pooled’ resources was initially built which has grown to 12 (approximately) till date.

Project III-a:              Retail Processing System (Product Ledger Mgmt.)

Description:

 

PLM Value Processing (PLM VPR) constitutes the Retail System’s core transaction posting function.  Also supported, are functions supporting Individual Savings Accounts (PLM ISA), Real-time Cash Counter transactions (PLM Counter), Transaction Services (THS) and Value Management System – Immediate Posting (VMS-IP).

 

Project III-b:              Retail Processing System (Payments-on-Demand Systems)

 

Operating Model:        Onsite (UK - Sheffield)

 

 

Description:

 

The Payments on Demand system is a Client Server Application; it comprises of two distinct parts. The detail within this functional specification is limited to the server system (IBM host). The primary delivery mechanism for PODs is through the Workstation at the Customer Service Centers. Other delivery mechanisms, such as TV Banking and PC Banking will in turn produce their own separate functional specifications. The host functionality will be common regardless of the delivery mechanism.

The system comprises a client-server on-line for creating, amending and canceling payments, and a number of batch processes, for maintaining pending payments and generating debit and credit transactions for the payments.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

¨      Performance enhancement of PODS system - PODS Re-structure (streamlining DB2 Tables and SQL's)

¨      Involved is various stages in project lifecycle viz. Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, OAT and Implementation.

¨      Involved in the entire lifecycle of the PODS Re-structure starting from project Inception to Post-release Support.

 

 

Project IV:                  Appointment Booking System (ABS2)

Description:

 

The ABS2 system (Appointment Booking System phase 2) will be used by staff in call centers, branches and other business areas for appointment bookings for customers.  The system is being developed under Websphere, having a browser front-end, with appointment data being held on the IBM host.  Appointment bookings will be placed in individual sales advisor calendars on Lotus notes.

Project V:                   Pre Authorized Payment System  (PAPS)

Description:

 

Pre Authorized Payment System to develop the maintenance and automation processing of Standing Order and Direct Debits. The existing system developed in APS, which is a COBOL code generator. Since the APS vendor (Micro Focus) is no longer to support APS and are transferring to other areas. The whole system has to re write in COBOL, CICS and DB2 with new functional and business requirements.

Project VI:                  Securities Host

Description:

 

The Securities Host project is a module within the Securities Data Maintenance (SDM). The SDM project will also provide a replacement for the processing of mortgage security, which is currently supported by a host mainframe system, known as Hogan, that is used by the Mortgage Service Centre. In the second phase, this will provide a replacement for the existing Local Register System (LRS) and Perfection of Securities (POS) applications.

 

Scope:


Tranche1, Tranche2 and Tranche3 will be developed by the Indian Development Centre (IDC) in order to support the Securities Data Maintenance. IDC will provide development resource to take the project from coding for the various online programs, through to completion of System test Plan creation. IDC will be solely responsible for the development, Unit test and system test plan of the required programs.

Alliance Capital Management Ltd. is a leading financial organization in the United States, with interests in Securities, Portfolios and Asset Management.

Description:

 

PACE is a multi currency, portfolio accounting system supporting various business units. It is interfaced with other Mainframe accounting systems. PACE facilitates on-line maintenance and inquiry using CICS. The system provides positions at account and currency level.

This project is being executed to carry out the maintenance work for PACE. The scope of the project includes correction of faults, improve performance, preventive maintenance and adapt to changes in the business environment and various support activities needed for efficient operation of the system.
