Who are we and what do we think we're doing?

As a mid-sized press, we consider ourselves as a mid-sized staff, thus keeping the balance of everything fair and justified. Not that we wouldn't welcome a couple extra hands now and then, but our team has learned to function together to achieve the goals of our Mission Statement as outlined by Harrison Livermoore back in 1981.

Harrison Livermoore President and Founder
A visionary, a boat-rocker, and a professional envelope-pusher, Harrison Livermoore was raised in Transcona, Manitoba. He maintains a strong love of architecture and of Nepalese cuisine, and collects urchin spines from around the globe. This is his 22nd year heading the Pariah team.

James Lowndes Editor
James was born in XXX, and considers XXX among his favourite hobbies. Editor of the anthology Readings on Consciousness: Mind and Beyond Mind, James brings a penchant for the postmodern and a definite taste for the otherworldly. He has worked with Pariah since 1993, and his favourite pie is blueberry. He is said to be obtaining internet access any day now.

Nick Pruyn Editor
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Nick's eye for provocative, edgy prose makes him a natural with Pariah Press. A part-time (waterskiier???) in the (summer???), Nick edited the anthology Labour Daze: A Collection of Work-Related Misadventures, and once downed an entire strawberry-rhubarb pie in three minutes. He has been with Pariah since 1993.

Sacha Jackson Marketing
Hailing from Ontario, Sacha's capitalist pig-dog sensibilities have made her an ideal marketing genius since joining our team in 1996. Having edited All Downhill From Here: 10 Short Stories About Coming Of Age, Sacha enjoys playing Pong and taking long walks on the beach with a backpack full of apple pie.

Maia Filar Marketing
Born and raised somewhere, Maia divides her time between her excellent work at Pariah Press and sewing, having achieved Canadian Seamstress of the Year in 2003. Editor of The Teenage Revolution: The History of Teens in Literature, Maia says that "teenagers are our future," a sentiment which makes some of us cry in our sleep. Lemon Merengue pie is said to be her top choice most of the time. Maia has worked with us since 1996.

Liam Roberts Production Manager, Webmaster
Originally from Vancouver Island, Liam has often asked why orange pie is so difficult to find. His search for citrus can be found in his work with simple yet sharply biting cover designs, and in a tendency towards eccentric and haunting prose and creative non-fiction. Editor of In Transit: An Anthology of New Canadian Travel Fiction, Liam is about ready for a trip himself these days. He has worked with Pariah Press since 1995.
