The Fridge

Welcome to our fridge, this is a page where we definitely do need your help and input.  If you have an event, a piece of art or poems, that you would like to share, either by you or your children send it to us.  Each email will be looked at and if found suitable will receive a fridge magnet all of its own.

First off we would like to thank everyone who donated both time and goods for our first gathering of The Millennium.  Their efforts are greatly appreciated, without them it would of been impossible to arrange or hold the picnic.  Our thanks also go out to the families and friends of "Parent to Parent Magic" for attending the picnic and for all the delicious food they brought.  A special thank you to Georgia for organizing the event, she promises next time to bring a knife and "The fabled Brownies" :o).

"Yes I know it's taken a while but I have to do this from England :o)"

Party In The Park 2000.

Is it possible to mix up a BBQ and a  dinosaur nest?  Very very unlikely I hear you say but that is exactly what      happened to Sharon and Mike.  After the confusion and relocation to a spot with a cooking area Dean (pictured left) begins     to prepare the food kindly donated by    comet foods.

Here we see our master chef at work with the crowd surging behind him in search of sustenance.

Here we see Karen nimbly returning after foraging for food.  In fairness the foraging basically involved her collecting the food of everyone as they arrived,  But she did it well.
Soon it appears everyone has safely arrived, the food table filled with exotic delicacies from around the world.  As the intoxicating smells  spread out from the table hunger pangs begin to grow and the decision is made to eat.
High amongst everyone's favorite food were Georgia's brownies so soft and light it was like eating a cloud.  Or as one eye witness put it "I didn't feel like I'd actually eaten anything", high praise indeed.  As you can see from our picture to the right the cookie bowl was soon empty, really soon really empty.
There is an old saying that states "Give a woman finger foods and a group of other women and they will nibble and chat and nibble and chat".  And so it seams to be a constant all around the world from the US to the UK.
The children on finding there parents involved in dull chit chat, set off in search of fun. Anna and Desirae decide to take up modeling while the rest set off in search of the yeti.

When they aren't sharing quiet moments the children find more energetic activities. Several played soccer, and played parachute games through out the afternoon.

Treasa shares a moment coloring with her son, Joshua. They were both lucky winners of guessing contest, when they both correctly guessed that this web site is superb :o).

Karen is told to keep her eye on Sharon, and attempts to keep her amused with bubbles.

Linda takes a moment with her daughter, Joanna. They take time to cool down with a drink kindly donated by McDonald's.

To end the day, Georgia leads the children on a hunt for a dinosaur egg.  After many hour and pints of sweat, following clues, meeting challenges, forging through jungles and lots of walking aimlessly.  In a clearing high above the clouds they see what can only be a dinosaur nest.  They quietly approach and peer into the nest to find.............

A melon.
