SKY BLUES

Well I'm on a trip from the world and its ills
But I'm gettin' high without your needles an' pills
'Cause I'm a freefall-fixer
Floating in a state of grace
And I don't need no hypodermic
Now I got me hyperspace!

Well some people say life is no fun at all
But you have to agree that the world is a ball
When you're a satellite swinger
Way out in space
Where the crescent luminescent moon's
a pleasant smile on heaven's face.

You can play at living like the poor of the earth
You can pray forever for a miracle birth
Or there's a real solution, if you try:
For not much more than the price of a war
You could take god's children to heaven's door
And if the future doesn't suit ya
Make a new world in the sky!

Now the planet is turning as it circles the sun,
Tha galaxy's whirling and it's turning me on!
You've got your feet on the ground?
Hah, don't make me smile!
'Cause you're travellin' like a javelin,
Every day you fly a zillion miles!

Some say there's two wise opinions to hold -
The kind you can jingle and the kind you can fold -
But that's a cynical opinion
I want you to know,
And when you're flyin' to Orion you'll wanna be loaded
With dee-two-oh! (that's deuterium oxide baby) - Or

You can play at living like the poor of the earth,
You can pray forever for a miracle birth,
But there's a real solution, if you try:
For not much more than the price of a war
You could take god's children to heaven's door
And if the future doesn't suit ya
Make a new world in the sky!
