The sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board at CCC for the year end tournament. Please indicate if you are playing, eating, and want to play with a particular team.

For the year end tournament on September 12th, Tim has graciously added a few "goodies". There will be "TWO" hours of open bar for draft beer this year from 6:00 to 8:00. Tim has also donated a couple of prizes for the banquet. Tim has also extending the regular Wednesday night golf fees {$14} through the Fall. The $14 greens fee applies only to Wedneday. My thanks to Tim!

As the season draws near an end Dave and I would like to thank everyone for making this an relatively issue free season. Besides chasing down a few people for league dues, the hardest thing to do was to come up with nichnames for everyone. {which really wasn't hard at all}.

Well that is it for this week, hope to see you next week on the Parbusters Tour.

Thoughts from the 19th Hole:
It is hard to believe that we have only three weeks of golf remaining {including the postion round}left in the 2009 Parbusters season. The leaderboard at the top is close, which should make it for an exciting finish. Buckle on the seat belts and hang on for the ride!

Parbusters League Results for 7/29
Welcome back golfers to another addition of inside the Parbusters Tour. The league was not a total wash out for there was a make-up match between Team # 5 {Tom Gumble/ Dwight McKown} and team # 16 {Chuck Kelly/ Kevin Decker} that took place before the regularly scheduled league was to start.. Team # 5 took all three points thus they vaulted ahead in the standings by one full point, ahead of Team #14.

There still are two make-up matches  to go and they are between the follwoing teams:
-Team #11 {Caldwell/ Christian} vs. Team #22 {Keister/ Schel}
-Team #17 {Prime/ McCumiskey} vs. Team #6 {Dougher/ Moore}

According to Tim there is open golf next Wednesday {8/5} so this maybe a good time to get current with your past matches?

GOOD LUCK to all who are participating in the CCC Member Guest Tournament next week. It would be great if a Parbuster Member won one of the flights!

Well that is it for this week, see you in two weeks {8/12} on the Parbusters Tour!

Parbusters League Results for 7/22
Welcome back golfers to another addition of inside the Parbusters Tour. With a shower in the air and the temperture on the rise, the scores for the week were a little surprise. Scoring honors for the week went to Mike "Lay Lady" Layman with a 40. Close behind with a 41 was Kevin "On the River" Nial, while Al "Big Guns" Hess and Tom "World be Free" Seary rounded out the top three with a 42. Great Job one and All!!!

There was only one skin for the week and that went to:
-Kevin "Burgmister" Rivenburgh on Hole #2

Thoughts from the 19th Hole:
Missing Club Alert: Chuck Kelly has misplaced his 54 degree Taylor Made Wedge. If you happen to see it or have picked it up, there is a reward..One large draft of beer...........

Just a quick note on upcoming events:
-There will be NO league golf on August 5th due to the Member Guest. However, there is open golf that night.
- Year end golf Tournament is Saturday September 12th. A sign up sheet will be posted shortly to see who is interested, whether you will be eating and if you have another team you would prefer to play with. It should be a hoot...............

Well that is it for this week, hope to see you next week on the Parbusters Tour!

Parbusters League Results for 7/15
Welcome back golfers to another addition of inside the Parbusters Tour. As the shies stayed clear and the rain stayed away, most of the rounds were more than ok. Medalist honors for the week went to Steve "Prime Time" Prime who carded a 37. Dave "Taz Man" Adsit was close behind with a 38, while Al "You are my Hero" Hess shot a 39. Great job one and all!

There were two skins out for the week and they went to:
-Al Hess on Hole # 13
-Gary Muserallo on Hole #17

Thoughts from the 19th Hole:
There were {and are} alot of matching cards for the past few weeks and quite a few for the upcoming week. If you are matching cards please make out an addition card out for the week that you are matching and write down who you are matching against. This will make it easier for Dave to tally up the appropirate score.

We are missing the scorecard from team 2 vs.15, thus their points are not in the standings.

Well that is it for this week, hope to see you next week on the Parbusters Tour!

Parbusters League Results for 7/8
Welcome back golfers to another addition of inside the Parbusters Tour. With storms all around us and the clouds quite dark, a few of us found we were hitting alot of bark. Medalist honors for the week went to Mike "the Par Machine" Layman who carded a two over par 38. Close behind with a three over par 39 was Jerry " Popsy" Bennett. Rounding out the top three with a 41 was Kevin" I can never get enough golf" Rivenburgh and Tom "O-H-I-O" Seary. Great job one and all.

Once again there was only one skin out for the week and that went to:
-Chuck "Give me a Rachel" Kelly on hole #7

Thoughts from the 19th hole:
With six weeks left of the season {before the postion round}the race for the top spot is getting closer and closer. The top five spots are separated by only three points. This should make for an exciting finish.

Please give some thought to the year end tournament format which is slated for September 12th, with a 12:30 shotgun start. Last year we played a captain and mate format with handicaps. For example if member A is a 10 handicap and member B is a 5, then your 18 hole handicap is a 15. I think that this worked well last year, but we are always open for suggestions.

Well that is it for this week, hope to see you next week on the Parbusters Tour!

Thoughts from the 19th hole:
As I sit at my desk from my home, I came up with a little poem:
I pray dear Lord for you to bring,
your guidance to my every swing.
And Lord before my life is done,
please grant me one hole in one........

Well that is it for this week, hope to see you next week on the Parbusters Tour!

Once again time for the Hall of SHAME:
One golfer has yet to pay his league dues:
-Todd Barnes
PLEASE PAY NEXT WEEK!

Thoughts from the 19th Hole:
For the third week this year, the skin pot was short money. If you play for skins, you MUST put a dollar in the envelope before you start your round. I do not want to babysit the envelop every single week to make sure everyone has paid. This is getting ridulculous!!!

As I set here and I ponder, my mind on golf it does wonder. For the game we love and friendship we do make, it seems playing the game should be a piece of cake!

Well that is it for this week, hope to see you next week on the Parbusters Tour!

Thoughts from the 19th Hole::
A guy stands over his tee shot for what seems an eternity- looking up and down and measuring the distance, figuring the wind direction and speed. Fianlly his exasperated partner says, "What's taking so long? Hit the damn ball"!
The guy answers, "My wife is up there watching me from the clubhouse. I want to make the perfect shot."
"Forget it, man", says his partner. "You'll never hit her from here."

Well that is it for this week, hope to see you next week on the Parbusters Tour.

-Ed Holmquist on Holes #3 and #5.

Thoughts from the 19th hole:
It was a sunny morning a little before 8:00 am on the first hole of a very busy golf course and I was beginning my pre-shot routine visualizing my upcoming shot when a piercing voice came over the loud speaker- "Would the gentleman on the woman's tee back up to the men's tee please".

I could feel everyone on the course looking at me. I was deep in my routine, seemingly impervious to the interruption. Again the announcement- "Would the man on the woman's tee kindly back up to the men's tee!!" I simply ignored the guy and kept concentrating, when once more, the man yelled-"Would the man on the woman's tee back up to the men's tee, PLEASE!!"

I FINALLY stopped, turned, cupped my hands and shouted back- "Would the jerk with the microphone please be quiet and let me play my SECOND shot!!"

Well that's it for this week, hope to see you next week on the Parbusters Tour!

Thoughts from the 19th Hole:
-Sixteen players still owe league dues, please pay ASAP.
-Always play ready golf, for there were a few "minor" back-ups on a couple of holes.
-For the most part everyone did a great job with their scorecards again.  Please continue to note your team numbers along with the points awarded to each team. Thank you.

The Parbusters Website {GeoCites}- It appears as if Yahoo will be discontinuing the Geociteis portion on their search engine. From what I have been reading, Geocities will be going down sometime latter this year.I have all of the website information in either excell files or word documents, so the information will still be available regardless. Since this is a "free" site, it does not have any extra burden on any of us. Please give some thought on whether or not we would want another website, for this one would likely cost some money. An alternative would be for us to have everyone's e-mail address so I could then e-mail the information to everyone?

Well thats it for this week, hope to see you next week on the Parbusters Tour!
