You all probably know that I am getting married to Takashi on July 7th of this year. Yes, I am very happy about that, but at the same time, we have so many things to do before and after the big date. We have just decided to move back to Japan earlier this month, and we are leaving here in the end of next month. There are several reasons why we planned to leave that soon: 1) We need to settle ourselves in a new environment when there are more job openings than in fall or winter; 2) We probably will have a huge culture shock when we start our life in Japan again, and we wanted that to happen during summer time; 3) We have decided to move back; why don't we move back when we decided to?

So where in Japan are we moving back to? We are thinking about going to Fukuoka, where my family is at, first. Fukuoka is the third largest city in Japan and is a very open-minded, internationalized, warm prefecture. The city calls itself "capital of Asia," and there are a lot of foreigners living in Fukuoka. It's located in north of the southern island in Japan. I was born and raised there. Since Takashi has been living in the U.S. for a very long time, I need to lead this new life, and I am more comfortable settling in my hometown than in anywhere else. We may be moving to a different place in Japan sometime, but just to adjust ourselves in this new setting, we are moving to Fukuoka first.
