FUKUOKA, JAPAN (Where I was born):
My birthplace is called "Kitakyushu City" and is located near "Fukuoka City" in Fukuoka, Japan.
It is the most populated city in Fukuoka Prefecture.
LAKEVIEW HIGH SCHOOL (My High School):
I am a 1997 graduate of Lakeview High School. I played tennis for the school.
FUKUOKA (My Hometown):
My 1st hometown is Fukuoka. It's the largest city in Kyushu Island. We have many beautiful beaches.
MY FAMILY (My Treasure):
My father: Yasuo Oe
He is an educator. He writes educational curriculums and textbooks for Japanese students. He often goes to the U.S. to lecture Japanese teachers in the U.S. He is also very active within Japan too. He takes cooking and art lessons on weekends.
My mother: Michiko "Michy" Oe
She is very active; playing tennis every day, writing books, volunteering, etc. She has won many tennis tournaments mainly in Battle Creek and Fukuoka. She sometimes goes to Shizuoka, Japan, to play tennis with her best friend/partner, Yoshie. She is also my role model and a very good cook!
My younger sister: Maiko Oe
She goes to Seinan-gakuin University in Fukuoka, Japan, to study English. She is very busy with her friends, school work, and part-time jobs. She is also an artist. She paints and draws very well, and I am always proud of her. She is currently a senior student and is looking for her future job.
Takashi Masumoto
He is my husband. We got maried this summer (7/7/02). He has graduated from Michigan State University and was working at Denso in Battle Creek. He now works at Surf & Snowboard Shop called "BREAK OUT" as a translator for the shop owner. He also works as a translator/director at world-level meetings. He teaches English to Japanese kids 4 classes a week. He can make many kinds of cocktails, and I am always the first one to taste them. He is also very active with playing hockey and is currently looking for a hockey team in Fukuoka.
