#3: We got engaged on 7/8/01 in Japan, and that means 7/7/02 will be the exact 1 year from when we got engaged.
Q2. Ok, so, why in Hawaii?
We are having our wedding on Kawaikui Beach Park, Honolulu. The reason why we picked Hawaii is because...
#1: My family (including all my grandparents and relatives) live in Japan, and his family is here in Michigan. It is so reasonable to have our wedding just between the two countries for them to save their flying time.
#2: My parents got married in Hawaii, and his parents went to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Personally, I have been there for several times and just love the place. I like the weather, people, culture, beach, and everything there.
#3: We are thinking about living in Hawaii sometime in our life. It is our dream! (We will probably be staying in Michigan for a year or so right after getting married though...) We would like to live in the U.S. where various cultures emerge with diversed community.
Other than that, we are still in process of discussing it with our parents, wedding planners, and package planners!
