Parryzide
Parryzide is a great band and I'm being honest when I say that I really enjoyed their music! They deliver excellent and aggressive thrash metal that won't pass unnoticed by the fans of the genre. So, start by finding out a few things about the band and then make sure to check their music out! Byrt has given us some really interesting answers that I'm sure you'll enjoy!

1. HELLO BYRT! FIRST OF ALL HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW THAT THE ALBUM IS READY? ARE YOU SATISFIED OR IS THERE ANYTHING THAT YOU’D LIKE TO CHANGE?
Hello Nikos! I´m very happy. After a while you will find something you could have made better, but nevertheless we are very content.
2. YOUR BAND NAME SOUNDS WEIRD. WHAT DOES IT MEAN AND HOW DID YOU CHOOSE IT?
Parryzide has two meanings according to dictionary. First it means the killing of your parents. The second meaning is treason. We relate to the second meaning. All human beings on earth have equal rights. We have similar dreams, hopes and the wish for individual luck! No nation, no religion, no ideology can help us live our lives. They all demand submission from us for their so called great ideals. Therefore we have chosen the band name Parryzide.
3. WHILE YOU WERE RECORDING YOUR ALBUM YOU HAD AN ACCIDENT WITH YOUR COMPUTER AND YOU‘VE LOST ALL YOUR TRACKS. DID YOU THINK TO QUIT WHEN THIS HAPPENED? HOW DID YOU HANDLE THE SITUATION?
We were really shocked and totally frustrated. Each of us reproach the other. But the very next day, when we met again, we had calmed down. Our common persuasion was: Now we have the chance to make it better and recording an album makes it really fun.
4. HAVE THE NEW SONGS THAT YOU’VE RECORDED ANY SIMILARITIES WITH THOSE THAT YOU‘VE LOST OR ARE THEY ENTIRELY NEW?
We have recorded the same songs.
5. YOU HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE DRUMMER’S POSITION. WHY DID YOUR PREVIOUS 2 QUIT AND WHO IS THE NEW DRUMMER THAT YOU HAVE? DID HE PLAY IN OTHER BANDS BEFORE  JOINING PARRYZIDE?
Rothes, our first drummer, started a retraining course. He had to learn very much and got the no time for the band. Therefore he decided to leave us. Our next drummer, Nick, came from Georgia (a part in Russia). He was  also a good drummer. But after one gig he had to go back to Georgia, to help his family. Rothes came back and helped us record our CD. But he has not yet time enough for more. Now we are playing with Lala. Lala is a good friend of us. He played in a band The Company they have 3 album out. After the break with The Company in 02,  Lala plays in a band project with other guys here in this area. A new band was found called Chiefrockar. In the time when Rothes left the band and we had to play gigs, the first question that came to our minds was who will play in Parryzide the drums? Ok! We asked Lala and he said “yes, I will play for some gigs, but you must look for a drummer in the future, the Chiefrockar are very important for me”.
6. LET’S TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE LYRICS. WHO WRITES THEM? DO YOU THINK THAT YOUR LYRICS HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE PEOPLE THINK AND TRY TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE? IN GENERAL, DOES THE MUSIC HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE US BETTER PEOPLE?
From the birth till death everyone is influenced by the world outside. You will be socialized by your parents, your teachers, your friends and at work. And when you are grown up, the media will affect you permanently. The only reason is to make you a functioning member of society. Music, ours too, is a small drop in a giant ocean of other influences. But it is not impossible to be heard. You are the proof. You have read our Lyrics thought about them and you ask questions to us. No one can help someone else to become a "better" human being.
7. IN YOUR BIO I READ THAT YOU ARE ALREADY IN THE PROCESS OF RECORDING NEW SONGS. HOW WILL THE NEW SONGS SOUND AND WHEN DO YOU PLAN TO RELEASE A NEW ALBUM?
Yes! Selim is every day in the rehearsal room in our own studio. He plays some new ideas on the computer and when we meet, we talk for a new song , listen and work together with other ideas from us. So! Our new songs are harder, faster and it is good that Lala is in the band and he wrote this songs with us. We let you know when we have some songs finished OK!
8. AS A BAND YOU HAVE SOLD MANY DEMOS AND YOU’VE PLAYED WITH MANY KNOWN BANDS. HOW COME AND YOU HAVEN’T SIGNED WITH A LABEL YET? ESPECIALLY IN GERMANY YOU HAVE MANY LABELS…WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU WANT FROM A LABEL TO OFFER YOU IN ORDER TO SIGN WITH THEM?
We have no deal, but we are looking for one. We are waiting for the best offer and we have some conditions; we will not change our music. We will not change our lyrics, we don´t need any kind of image or any other nonsense.
9. THIS INTERVIEW WILL BE READ BY PEOPLE THAT HAVEN’T LISTENED TO YOUR MUSIC YET. SO, CAN YOU DESCRIBE IT IN ORDER TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND HOW YOUR MUSIC SOUNDS? WHICH BANDS DO YOU CONSIDER THAT THEY HAVE INFLUENCED YOU?
To talk about your own music is very difficult you can lightly sound like a bigmouth. Nevertheless we´ll try it. First we only wanted to make fast music, hard and aggressive. And we did it. But after a (long) while we noticed that something is lacking. Melodic parts, parts, if you hear them, that could join singing. And we did it! And this is now our music. Fast and melodic parts nearly connected by other bands. Natural we are influenced by other bands. But we never wanted to sound like these or those. My favourite band are. Ozzy Osbourne, Tool, Megadeth, Exodus, Slayer, Björg, SYL , Devin Townsend Band, Anthrax, W.A.S.P. Nevermore. Rocky: Anthrax, Annihilator, Exploited. Selim. Six feet under,Annihilator, Slipknot, Exodus, Ministry, Machine Head, Pantera, Slayer, Bolt Thrower. Peter "Lala". SYL, Devin Townsend ,Björg, Stuck Mojo, Catatonia, Hard Rock Power Spray, Anthrax, Tool.
11. YOU HAVE PLAYED WITH MANY KNOWN BANDS. WHICH OF THOSE LIVES THAT YOU DID, DO YOU REMEMBER THE MOST AND WHY?
Yes! I think they have other lives than the rest of us. The bigger bands have to tour every day in other places, sometimes many months. We play on weekends or in 4-5 weeks time we do no gig. We have to go to our work every day 5 days a week. We think of going on a small tour with a bigger band, for 2 weeks maybe or so. Amazing was when we played with some bigger bands like Over Kill, DRI, Grave Digger they were very cool like small bands. There are some not cool and not co-operative when we play together to bring some for the backline, but not all, luckily are like that!! You know what I mean. But the bands with professionalism and experience talked with us and told us what we need and so. After the show we hang around in the backstage area for fun, drinking and talking.
