| If you are having problems ordering on Paypal (�invalid data� message or session timed out as you tried to enter credit card information), you are not alone. Numerous postings on this issue can be found online, and the problem may be worse for people using Internet Explorer than for those using other browsers. One of the following may be to blame.
1. Your connection with your internet service provider may be weak. Try reconnecting, or connecting during lower traffic hours. 2. Your temporary and cache files maybe full. Try cleaning them. The above is the standard advice Paypal sends on the timing out issue. In my experience, it hasn�t helped. 3. Your browser may be set to not allow �cookies.� Try changing the setting (in Internet Explorer 7, Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>Advanced> check �Override automatic cookie handling�). This step alone seemed to solve the �invalid data� problem for me when I tried to access the Pay Now button on this web site. 4. Trying to access Paypal while inside a frame, or through a site that uses URL masking, will conflict with Paypal�s security measures and generate an error message. 5. The date and time setting on your computer may wrong, thereby blocking synchronization with some secure web sites. After making any changes, close your browser and log back in again to allow them to take effect. If none of this helps and the frustration hasn�t dissuaded you from buying the atlas, you may have to pay by personal check. Sorry for the inconvenience. |
