| The Men In Black, Maji, MJ-12. There have been many more names for the alleged agency that deals with extraterrestrial communicatation and government coverup. We all know of when the world became aware that there might be extraterrestrial life that visits our planet, when the Roswell "incident" occured on Mack Brasil's ranch July 8, 1947. Since then, there have been reports of a mysterious group of men who show up and threaten civilians to keep quiet about various UFO related incidents. No actual proof of this organization has ever been given, but we have come pretty damn close with the 'MAJESTIC 12 DOCUMENTS.' THE STORY The documents came into play on December 11, 1984, when a producer for video documenteries, Jaime Shandera, heard someone drop something through his mail slot that evening. What Mr. Shandera found was a brown envelope postmarked Alberquerque, New Mexico, and contained within was a canister of exposed, but undeveloped black and white 35mm film. He was supposed to meet ufologist Bill Moore for dinner that night at the Villa Sunset Restaurant, and decided to take the film with him. When he showed it to more, dinner was postponed indefinately. They went to Moore's house, and they developed the film in Moore's kitchen. Moore, Shandera, and Stanton Friedman would spend two years trying to verify the authenticity of the information found on that film. The documents on that film eventually became known as the MJ-12 documents, which were an eight page briefing paper to President Eisenhower detailing a UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947, another crash at El Indio, Texas, in 1950, and a list of the members of the government's special 'Majestic-12'or'MJ-12'UFO group. It was dated "18 November, 1952," and it gave Admiral Roscoe H. Hillenkoetter as the briefing officer. There was also a briefing memo from President Harry S. Truman to Secretary of Defense Forrestal that authorized the creation of the MJ-12 group. The next year, Bill Moore recieved an unusual postcard that had been sent to his old address in Dewey, Arizona, then forwarded to Los Angeles. The picture on the front was Ethiopia, but it was postmarked New Zealand. The card was unsigned, but it had a cryptic message typed on the back, of which Moore and Shandera will only reveal a portion. Add zest to your trip to Washington Try Reeces Pieces; For a stylish look Try Suit Land Supoosedly, Stanton Friedman gave them a solution when he mentioned that a large group of top secret Air Force Intelligence files were being declassified at the satellite facility of the National Archives at Suitland, Maryland. Moore and Shandera went to Suitland and started sifting through the files of Record Group 341, and after three days of searching, Shandera found a memo dated 7/14/54 from Robert Cutler, who was a special assistant to President Eisenhower, to General Nathan Twining. The Memo said: The President has decided that the MJ-12/SSP briefing should take place durin the already scheduled White House meeting of July 16 rather than following it as previously intended. The memo seemed to provide independent verification of the existance of the MJ-12 Group. Continued ---> |
