Paramendra Bhagat
October 14, 2003
See who's visiting this page.

As of today, I have been to all 48 states in the continental United States, and I celebrated it by firing off an e-mail - it was more a reply to one from him - to Bob Jacobson. He is an administrator with the Dean Issues Forum. The campaign is seeking to acquire some depth. The site is not public yet. And I got to get in just when I was seeking to get a little more deeply involved. I was hoping to become a moderator on Foreign Policy/World Issues. But what came my way was Immigration.

Info on Paramendra Bhagat: "Paramendra Bhagat was born in India, grew up in Nepal, went to school in Kathmandu, and came to the US for college in the Fall of 1996. He was the first student in his college's history to get elected student body president as a freshman. He has an online business that he hopes to expand "coast to coast, pole to pole." He can't wait for broadband internet to get mainstream and global. On and off, he has also been driving a semi. He has been to all 48 states in the continental US. The last one happened to be Vermont. His message to Dr. Dean: sorry, nothing personal! He is all fired up about the Dean candidacy, which he sees less as a campaign and more as a phenomenon. Dean is a political rock star, fiscally responsible, socially cutting edge, totally winnable, true, but what I am really for is the people who are for Dean, he says. This is an amazing grass roots campaign. The internet is more high touch than high tech, and the Dean "thing" proves it, he says. He hopes to get more and more closely involved with the campaign as November 2004 approaches. Message: let's take this guy all the way to the White House. If you would like to learn more about Paramendra Bhagat, please visit his personal website (http://www.geocities.com/paramendra), and feel free to get in touch with him. He likes the idea of constantly making new friends, and keeping in touch with old ones."
