Paralegal Student Association Summary for October 2006
The first general Paralegal Student Association meeting was held on October 14, 2006 in room L203. The meeting was very well attended. The president, Connie Beall welcome everyone and gave introductions. The program manager 85 faculty advisor, Dr. Tracy Parker highlighted program information, office hours and advised the importance of early registration. The President presented the proposed action plan for input from the members. The Legislative Committee reported the status update on Maryland Paralegal Association.

Committee membership is established and chairs are elected at the first meeting in order to accomplish the work of the action plan.   The standing committees are: 1) Employment 8s Education, 2) Public Relations, 3) Legislative, Rules, Regulations and Procedures Update (hereinafter Legislative Committee), and 4) Membership.

The two community service activities proposed were a benefit concert to raise money for the Maison Jackson Fund 85 Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army during the Winter Holiday season. A consensus is reached regarding the plan for the year.
