Out Now! Weezmania's
1st Bulletin Retro - This is the latest news from our friend community
from bandung, Weezmania. Last Sunday i met Oboe @ de'basic and he gave
us the first edition of Weezmania's free monthly Bulletin (the back
cover was so eye-cathing..). We plan to bring some copies for our fellow
@ semarang which had their own weezerfans community. Well, goodluck for
the Retro Bulletin, more power to Weezmania & keep rockin' the =w=orld!

Travelling Freak Show, Sajama Cut's
Event @ de'basic melawai, 12.09.04 - featuring Ape on the roof, Channel,
Boy Named Santiago, The Sastro, Geez, Devotion, Sajama Cut 'n others..Last Sunday was the first time for devotion to came up on stage at de'basic. Before the show we had our rehersal @ sinjitos studio, which has a cozy studio at south jakarta. Later at the venue we met some friends and also Nanda Clover who gave us the report from making the video progress so far. Thanks for Geez that night for dedicating their song 'my good friend' to us, as we surprised them by playing the first song part of their 'Dear Sherly'..

Out, Friday 03/09/04 - Some of you guys who tunned in on MTVSky last
Friday must be heard that Geez was performing acoustic live songs from
their EP album Dear Sherly, and it's kind a surprising because it turned
out to be like; Geez feat. devotion.Pettie helped Geez by singing Dear Sherly along with Yumma. well, it's fun and kewl.

Geez EP launching : Geek Rock Invasion, Rouge
Kemang 27/08/04 - Jakarta's worst traffic happened that nite! we missed
the performance of Starwick, Lucca and The Mash. but we had a chance to
see The Adams (with awesome mosque of Love), The Jokes who came along
way from bandung (performing their songs from album Mencari Dunia) devotion played 5 songs of ours (dugh.. pettie with skirt:p)
It was fun, kewl, rawk while Geez showed up on stage, performing their songs from debut EP Dear Sherly, they're the star that nite, and sure they kicked ass!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In Session, Provoke! Event 25/08/04 @Score! Citos - without opening speech the show started at 8pm, the first band came up on stage was Evacuate Cowboy, followed by Devotion, Toilet Sounds, The Famous, Zeke & The Popo, Sajama Cut, 7 Deadly Sins and so on.. Well, we realize that sound check is very necessary, specially when you've never been on that stage before :) but over all the show's okay, we met a lot of friends. with sexy waitresses, cool athmosphere, high stage, what else do you need..? a glass of JD :)

Seringai Release Party High Octane Rock
Album, Rouge Kemang 14'08'04 - Definitely an honour for us! being
invited by Seringai to be the opening act on their album launch,
together with great bands such as : Fall, Vault, Perfect Minors and
Killed by Butterfly.There's also a merchandise corner outside the venue sold many stuff from bands who performed that nite. The show was blistering and the crowd was very outstanding.
To be honest, become the only band with keyboard tunes made us a bit nervous when I was on stage. And our hands were never stop shakin'!..
thank God the crowd didn't throw anything to us. Well congratulations to Seringai and their "High Octane Rock" album.. and thanks to Arian, Ricky, Sammy & Khemod to put your trust in devotion to be one of the opening bands.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Weezmania 1st Anniversary @ purnawarman #29, Bandung 07'08'04 - It was the 2nd time for devotion to become the participant of weezmania's event. that nite the show started at 8pm, and took place at parking area purnawarman 29. presented Devotion & Geez from Jakarta and also bands from hometown: Pegawai Negri, The White, Electric Lady, Quita, Big Boss, and many more.. Generally, the outdoor show was great, too bad we didn't anticipate the cold nite, were freezing...
so, herebelow list of people we'd like to thank to:
eweeq & kiki (for being good friends and for showing us the shortcut way all around Bandung) angga & wasteage (thanks man! the shirts & jackets kept us warm n' snug all night long!) ibek & friends (you're so kind n' helpful! cozy place to stay! it would be our destination #1 whenever we go to Bandung again sometimes..) weezmania's official (oboe, egy, chupes, diani and all... see you soon in Jakarta!) boris & sandy "luka" (for being there, along way from subang).

Playing Music on weekdays? -
Fine! we just did it at "Pop On Thursday", Evonica Event held at
Melodies Cafe Sheraton Hotel, Gunung Sahari - Jkt on 15th July 2004. And
how we manage our time..? nahh, no big deal, it's easy :) I guess the
show was begin with the appearance from The Adams, followed by Toilet
Sounds then Devotion and Sajama Cut. Devotion was the only band who
performed in acoustic version! why? ask Yumma... the show was kewl, the
place's cozy... but why Thursday?

Rouge Kemang 27th June 2004 - Devotion along with cool bands with cool
music (Santa Monica, Plester, and Geez) performing live on the Event
called : Sounds Gathering of The Comforting Lullaby - a event held by
guys from Geez. I heard rumours (hopefully this isn't a rumour) that
this "Comfoting Lullaby" event will be held regularly every 2 weeks...

new magazine for youngster has become the first teenage magazine
contained Devotion's profile (well, not an updated news n profile
exactly but they did copy the profile from this webpage ... it's okay!)
but nobody from the magz told us the issue date ... and it's not easy to
find this magz :( next time will be better, ok!

From "Over Tone 2", Rouge Lounge Kemang, 19 June 2004 - The show
began at 9.30 PM. The place's nice n' cozy with a small stage on the
corner nearby the bar.
Unfortunately, we missed the first performance band, coz everyone
in the band is caught up enjoying them selves the appearance of the
'good-looking young talented lady' Dian Sastro! :)
After Pegawai Negeri (our friend from Bandung), Plester came up on
stage performing 3 songs. Then Devotion the next, performing 6 songs
followed by Geez. It was a very entertaining night. We wonder, would it be
next show called Over Tune 3? Just wait and see..

No Suprises ! - in this very short life, sometimes people get many
compliments and dissapointments as well. that's was just happen to us.
Sometimes you think you'll do almost anything to make your dream come
true, but in fact others don't feel and don't think the same. from so many
rejection this freaks geeks and rock n roll album was released, all i can
say, is don't give up hoping just because of somebody else's ignorance,
just move on, keep on trying and do all the best.

Sastro - The Sigits - The Jepruts - Velvet Tongue - Clover - Ballads Of
The Cliche - White Shoes & The Couple
Companies.
Make sure you'll be there if you like those bands coz i don't know
the exact reason but this is the last event at BB's coz (as i heard..)
they're planned to close it temporary for renovation.

- It's another surprise coz we've been told by our manager that we becomes
one of the band to play as the opening act at The Brandals'

Devotion on Prambors Nu Buzz - The first track of our Album
called "Bukan yang Terbaik" becomes new entry #6 on Prambors Nu Buzz chart
show, an on-air show every Tuesday 8 - 10 pm hosted by Warman. It means we
have entered the same show for the second time (1st time: Devotion's
single "Selalu Ada" reach #3 at the same show on October 2002). Hmm..
