 "Maria
Belen" is the story of a six years old girl, who has
recently lost her adoptive parents in a tragic accident. He
has only an uncle Rogelio, the ambitious and wicked man, who
has done this accident with parents of Maria Belen (Rogelio's
half-brother Alfonso Garcia Marin and Alfonso's wife) to have
their money. But he didn't suppose that Maria Belen should go
out unharmed from the catastrophe and, much less, she was a
heiress of Alfonso's money. Rogelio become to hide the girl to
fulfill his aim.
Maria Belen came like internal girl to the Institute Brighton,
place directed by Ursula Arana, but Rogelio gave to her money
in order that she should support Maria Belen there. Ursula
also promised, that she should return Maria Belen to Rogelio,
though it isn't not Ursula's real intentions. Ursula is an
embittered and malicious woman who works at this place to
support her social position, she doesn't enjoy the company of
the girl.
The arrival to the Institute Brighton marked Maria Belen's
destiny, she became to know her real father: Pablo Diaz
Cortazar. Durring six years, when Pablo was studying, he knew
a pretty young woman called Alejandra Medrano. Both felt the
love to each other. Soon, Pablo has gone abroad to continue
his studing, but he didn't know, that Alejandra have waited a
baby from him. Alejandra has gave a life to a beautiful girl,
Maria Belen. But soon, Alejandra died. The familly Garcia
Marin adopted the little girl.
Pablo returned to the country and became to find his daughter,
but unfortunately, he couldn't find any information about
Maria Belen. Pablo searched his daughter for four years, but
without any success. Now, only one person gives to him
happiness. She is Ana del Rio, his current girlfriend, a sweet
woman who works like psychologist in the Institute Brighton.
Maria Belen knows that her father searched her, but she has a
big offence to Pablo...
