Carillo was born in Venezuela, in Caracas, on the 6 of
January. n the late eighties, Latin-American television
audiences were introduced to an exciting new talent named
Fernando Carillo. The statuesque venezuelan actor and singer
collared viewers instantly with his undeniable charm, keeping
their attention riveted with his natural acting ability.
Fernando was educated in London where his family had relocated
when he was a child. He returned to Venezuela to attend
college. Originally majoring in telecommunications, he ended
up completing a rigorous curriculum of acting courses with
renowned professor Levy Roussell. Under the tutelage of Amalia
Perez, he studied acting in the Academy of Television Arts
Sciences.
In
1986 he costarred in telenovela "La dama de rosa"
and his performance won him a "best young actor"
award. His successes in Venezuela were numerous and acclaimed,
including leading roles in the country's most popular
nighttime programs. When he made a fateful move to Mexico
signing with "Televisa", his popularity exploded.
Thanks in large part to consecutive leading roles in
telenovelas "Maria Isabel" with Adela
Noriega, "Rosalinda" with Thalia and "Siempre
te amare" with Laura Flores. Fernando became the
number one choice for the male leading role in the telenovela
genre. His face became a prime time TV standard and in just
three short years, Fernando Carillo achieved superstar status.
Having established
himself as a bankable actor in the Latin, European and Asian
markets, Fernando has decided to focus his energies on
America. With his classic good lucks, fluency in Spanish,
English and Italian and natural singing and acting talent,
it's easy to see why Fernando is a worldwide Latin heartthrob.
