Adela
Noriega was born in Mexico City on the 24th of October, in
1969. Her father died, when she was a little girl, so she was
left alone with her mother, sister and a younger brother.
Adela always dreamed about the career of actress and her dream
became the reality. She started to act in telenovela "Juana
Iris" (1987) and also in the TV show "Chacun
Chacun". After that, she acted in a videoclip of
Lucia Mendez - "Corazon de fresa". In 1988
Adela acted in telenovela "Yesenia". In
"Yesenia" she was a young rebel gypsy, who would
defy anything and anyone to defend her love. Then. she
immediately worked with Thalia and Ernesto Laguardia in
telenovela "Quinceañera" (1987). In that
novela, the personaje of Adela is Mariana, a young girl from a
modest family. Her mother sends her to study in a very
expensive college, hoping that her daughter would marry a rich
man. But Mariana falls in love with a young mechanic - Pancho
(Ernesto Laguardia). After these two successes having had she
has gone to the USA where she acted in "Guadalupe"
with Eduardo Yañez. In "Guadalupe" she is a young
poor girl who discovers that she is the only inheritor of a
very important fortune. She falls in love with Alfredo
(Eduardo Yañez) the man who wanted to take his revenge on her
father for having killed his parents. In 1995 Noriega went to
Columbia where she starred in telenovela "Maria
Bonita". In "Maria Bonita" she is a young
singer that falls in love with the son of the president of
Columbia.
The personal life of Adela always was the reason of
journalists to discuss it. She has never denied or agreed with
anything related to her love affairs, but in 1997 when they
told that she was a girlfriend of Carlos Salinas de Gartani
(ex-president of Mexico) she denied it, the same she did when
they said that she was Fernando Carrillo's girlfriend (her
partner in "Maria Isabel"). She has admitted she had
an affair in 1994 with Eduardo Yañez. In 1997 she came back
to Mexico where she acted in Carla Estrada's production - in
telenovela "Maria Isabel" for Televisa. In
"Maria Isabel" she is a young indian girl. This role
and the one that followed, novela "El privilegio de
Amar" with Andres Garcia brought to Adela the prize
of the mexican popular magazine "TV y Novelas" for
the best young lead actress of 1999. In "El privilegio de
Amar" she is Cristina. She is a young model who was
abandoned by her mother after her birth. When she grows up,
she begins to work in the modelling agency directed by her own
mother. In summer 2001, Adela has begun to act in her new
telenovela producced by Carla Estrada - "El
manantial". In 2002-2003 Adela acted in the other
Estrada's telenovela "Amor real" with
Fernando Colunga and Mauricio Islas.
