| The Paraguay Dodgers Began courting el Presidente Castro this year because of his well known hitting ability. The Dodgers originally wanted the Cuban president for the second base position, but because of a recent fall, his fielding abilities have suffered a temporary setback. Sources close to the Cuban President say that not getting an infield position is a deal-breaker. "El no juega right field" said an advisor, "Left field puede ser, pero right field--jamas." To show they are serious, the Paraguay Dodgers sent Pee Wee Reese to negotiate in person (foto). Both sides are hopeful an agreement can be in time for the 2005 renunion in Wasington, DC. |
