NCSED Netmaniacs Center for Software Education and Development was
founded by Mr Pavan kishore KS, a 2000 passout of ISM. Originally called
'the Netmaniacs' the activities of the society extend to areas outside
software. NCSED conducts guest lectures by distinguished persons. The first lecture was given by Mr Paramjeet Singh(CTO Allegro Networks, based in Silicon valley) in april 2001 during Basant(reunion of ISM alumni). The 2nd lecture was given by Dr Sunrit Mullick on "graduate studies in USA". Dr Mullick, an alumnus of Harvard University and the University of Chicago himself, spoke at length about opportunities for ISM students in the US and ht process of applying. He was impressed by the huge turnout on the ocassion. Dr mullick is the Regional Director of the US Educational foundation in India Calcutta. NCSED is building an intranet for use by faculty and students inside the campus. A digital library is also in the offing. More details are available in our action plan |
