Despite his high hopes, Taylor quickly realised that making it on his own was not going to be easy.
He did find his way to the InterCity Pub though, and met a few people, quickly making friends. He was not there long before the mercenaries in the Pub were called away on a mission to Novard, something to do with establishing contact with the king. With assistance from his new friends and a gifted sub machine gun, he survived his first in what was to be a long line of missions.

After the mission, he met up with Legs Valkyrie, the second in command of the powerful Dark Hunters gang, joining with them and being given his first vehicle as a gift for joining, a Highwayman motorcycle. This bike was slower than what he was accustomed to, but it was his vehicle. Later, Legs would assist him in the purchase of armour, and his current pride, a road-ripper motorcycle.

For a long time, Taylor had decided to remain single, and although he threatened to marry wander316 several times, he never took relationships seriously. One of his friends was Death-spider, a Drow/Vampire Ninja. She was in a relationship with fellow Dark Hunter, insaNity, and although he met her younger sister, Sidyn, he never thought of them being a couple. In fact several times he had poked fun at her for an entirely fictional affair with Shadow Walker.
They did become very close friends, and good drinking buddies, until Wes eventually decided to stop hiding his feelings for her. Things moved fairly quickly after he stopped pretending not to care, Taylor and Sidyn commonly recognized as a couple.
After two weeks of that relationship, an enemy of Death-spider, Dragons Bane (aka VooDoo Daddy) challenged Sidyn to the Drow rite of Combat, simply to spite Death-spider. He later backed down once Taylor convinced him how morally wrong his actions were. To prevent such an occurence happening again, Wes challenged Sidyn, and three days later, Sidyn was defeated in the rite of combat, then the Rite of Blood, uniting the couple in marriage.

After a few months of marriage, it occured to Janson that Sidyn would outlive him by hundreds of years. due to her being Drow. Considering his options, it occured to him he could get vamped, that is, become a vampire. He approached his sister-in-law, Spidey, who had gotten vamped herself to speak to her about it. Although she agreed to do it, Wes wanted to talk it over with his wife.
Sidyn was, for some unknown reason, reluctant to the idea. The couple were both still young, so Janson conceded that such a drastic change in lifestyle could wait until later in life.
At it turned out, Sidyn wanted children. It took a short period of time for her to realise this for herself though Wes realised from early on this may have been the case, and was ready when Sidyn felt ready to discus it. Early in the relationship, they had discussed children, but both now felt ready they could handle the responsibililty.
The pregnancy did not take immediately, but Sidyn did fall pregnant a few weeks after the conversation, only to realise something they had dreaded for some time... being only 4'10", Sidyn was far too small to carry a human child to full term. A transfer to a surrogate mother had to be made or the baby, and possibly Sidyn, would die. Sidyn's sister Death-spider was Sidyn's first choice, and agreed to take the vampirism cure and carry for Sidyn. (on the proviso Janson paid for the cure).
The plan was have Spider's new tongue attached (a week before, Spider lost her tongue to a harvester...the same night Wes lost his left hand), let her recover, take the cure, recover from having her DNA reorganised by nanites, the have the baby transferred.
But things never go to plan.

Sidyn's condition worsened only a day after Spider's cure was injected, and the sisters had to be taken into immediate emergency surgery. Dr. Morgie's steady hands made the transfer without a hitch...as Spider would say later "getting knocked up without having sex for it".

Approximately six months after first joining the Dark Hunters, Legs and Solitaire Valkyrie stepped down from leading, leaving Janson in charge. A surprise move, especially for Wes himself, who had always assumed insaNity was in line for the position should Legs and Sol ever quit. Nity turned down the offer of second in command, most likely bitter at being passed over by a newer member to the gang, but simply stated he was going to quit gang life and live peacefully for a while.

A short period of time after taking control of the gang, Solitaire took another of his common "mood swings", but previously unencountered to Wes. Realising Solitaire may have plans to take the DH back from him, Janson expelled Sol from the gang, and assuming Legs might help him take it back, her as well. A drastic and disloyal move to those that had always been friends to him, however the gang in general felt more comfortable with them gone.
The one exception was Unforgivn, a former member of the LsT clan, who practically demanded to know the reason behind thier expulsion. Taylor tried to explain with little success, but retained his decision until the questions subsided.
After this, Taylor was in dire need of a second in command, should anything happen to him. After some convincing, Death-spider rejoined the gang with the position of Second in Command, and insaNity rejoined with her.

At about this time, Wes and Sidyn's child was born, a son, whom they decided to name Myrlochar. This name was essentially was a Drow myth, an Archangel or Avatar, which meant that he could never live within a Drow society. Of course, due to his "impure" blood, he would always be excluded from the Underdark anyway.
Nevertheless, Sidyn and Wes are happy with the way things are, and Wes, being his sentimental self agreed to the name Myrlochar, the meaning of it being "Soul Spider". He decided it to be appropriate in the given situation.

After a few weeks of juggling fatherhood and combat, Wes found it too difficult to split his time. He chose to hang up his weapons and armor, retiring from fighting.
Leaving the gang in the hands of Death-spider he lived in a refurbished apartment block in DH territory with his family.

Two years later, Sidyn got a taste of the Drow lifestyle denied her by marriage and a controversial video was made of her antics at a Drow 'party'. Despite professing her love for him, Sidyn shortly left Wes, leaving him with not only Myrlochar, but their second child; a daughter, and returned to the Underdark. Wes followed her after both children fell sick and died due to his lack of ability to properly care for them. His feelings for her quickly turned to blind hatred and he followed her into the underdark after meeting and racing for a Drow mechanic by the name of Nov'drll, who offered to escort him. There he fell in with a house of dominant males, a rarity. Oddly, he was accepted - too late he found out they were using him to get back at Sidyn for a range of crimes committed against them.
But he didn't care. He helped them find his former love, and turned her over to them without looking back.

Rumours say he returned to the city, but the apartment is long since looted and shows no signs of inhabitants aside from a large group of squatters - no-one has tried to turf them out and no-one collects rent.
