Paradise Mountain Pay Lake was first built and started by my brother-in-law, Arnold B McCoy. It was a dream of his to have a fishing lake where family's could come out and enjoy a family atmosphere. So several years ago he built the lake. In the beginning he named it McCoys Pay Lake. But after a few years of running it, he became sick and was told that he had cancer. He still managed to run the lake for a year or two longer. After he became to sick to take care of the lake himself, he began leasing it out to others. Eventually Arnold B. passed away, which left my sister in a bad situation. So she took over the lake and leased it out. One person that leased it renamed it Carters Paylake. He ran the lake for a couple of years, but only to manage to destroy the good name, and business Arnold B had built for the lake. So in the spring of 2008, I purchased the Lake from my sister. I renamed the lake as Paradise Mountain Paylake, and take my word it is a PARADISE , I am in the process of improving the grounds, and i know i'm taking better care by making sure that the trash is never overflowing, that flies aren't all over the trash cans, and making sure that there isn't dead bait in the cans left from the day before. I personally clean the cans with bleach water solution at least once a week, but use a bleach solution spray each time I empty the cans.
We are in the process of trying to upgrade the area with several different projects which i'm sure will take a couple of years to complete. It is my vision to eventually have picnic tables and BBQ grills for our customers enjoyment.
We also have different animals for the kids to pet, and to observe. We have taken in some unwanted animals and given them a loving home, so hopefully children and adults will enjoy being able to see these pets.
