African Bongos!
The base is made of a very hard plaster type material.
(I'm not sure what it is actually!)
The Tops are covered in a rawhide skin that stretches over the sides and laces all around each of the bongos all the way down to the bottom.
There is a bridge (shown above)
that connects them at the top and bottom
on both sides
