Q:� What's up with the rolled up jeans in Japan?

A;� The rolled-up jeans you see are part of the Japanese fashion statement.� I am not sure how it got started.� But it's invading places like HK.� Those jeans probably make your legs look longer and skinnier or something.

Q:� What is the ideal image of a girl in Asia?

A:� This is a subjective answer, but from what I have observe, an ideal girl in Asia should be really skinny, slim, about 5 ft 5 to 5 ft 7 is a preferable height.� Most of the girls like to have fair, smooth skin.� However, some do like tan.� In the summer, a nice short hair cut is always good.

Q: What is the legal age for driving in Asia

A: In China, you have to be 18 to get a driver license. I guess that's the same in most Asian countries. You will notice, there are less road signs in China and other Asian countries, and wearing seat belt is not always enforced as a law. In fact, a lot of adult, mostly men, drink and drive. I am assuming to get a license is harder in Asia, like in China. And to drive in places in Hong Kong and Chinese major cities is always a nightmare. Under normal conditions in China, drivers have to deal with bicyclist. Some of those bicyclist tend to appear in front of you from no where. If you are driving in Hong Kong or Tokyo during rush hour, it takes some expertise to weave through those busy streets and stay alive.

Q:How is Asian teens different from American Teens?

A:� Asian teens today are becoming more diverse than ever.� In fact, I felt that Asian is having the biggest generation gap in its history.� Especially in China, where teens are becoming more and more westernized.� Examples are swearing in English, guys getting their ears pierces.� I think those people are trying to find a balance between their traditions and the western influences.

Q:� Do people like to dye their hair blonde?

A:� Most Asians, especially teens, don't dye their hair blonde. They like blonde hair, but they are smart enough to know blonde is not their color. Of course, there's always exceptions.� Most people like to dye their hair light golden brown and red, some like plum.� I think those color fits them real good.� But in China, High school forbid their students to dye their hair.

Q:� What kind of life style do Asians have?

A: Right now, all asians are big fan of foreign films, especially Hollywood films.� I rememeber when Titanic first came out, and I was in China.� Everywhere I go, there's Titanic posters and bookmark, EVERYWHERE!� Most places in Asia, like Japan, adopt American technology and European fashion sense.� I remember in China, I saw girls out in the street wearing fancy dresses and outfits.� Those clothes are what some American teens would wear to school dances, maybe not prom.� So you see how standards differs.
