私の王子樣

~  Katori Shingo ~

The way he thinks;

His earnest frown.

The man the God;

The child the clown.

He makes each day a day to fly

And makes each night a starry sky...

As Kit Chan was singing the above verse from Forbidden City on stage, I ought to be paying attention to her love

story with the Emperor from my audience seat but instead; images of Shingo came to me immediately. I just thought,

that was a fitting description of Shingo ~

Indeed, Shingo is like a man yet still a child…at least to me. *grinz*  It’s this unique quality of his that draws me to

him. I haven’t paid much attention to him till I watched Yomigaeru Kinro (NTV Apr-Jun99). Perhaps it was his role,

a bitter character who really needed love and stirred my Cancer motherly nature, perhaps it was his shapely body

with all the right contours at that point of time, perhaps it was just a moment that something just struck…

 whatever ~ Since then, I was hopelessly hooked onto him ~ !!

Over the years, Shingo has shown us so much of what he is capable of. And he will always have

something new to offer! First, Shingo Mama has swept the whole of Japan with the ‘Oha’ wave that has

 gone to hit even Taiwan as Taiwanese host Pu Xueliang re-sang her ‘Shingo Mama no Oha Rocku’

in mandarin. And before we could take a breather, Shingo went on to get the nation learning their

English with Sma Station and his 4 textbooks of Bera Bera. And when I was still using the textbook

to learn all the very causal Japanese, he began diet education with his Diet Shingo. What else will we get?

Dynamic Shingo makes me always look forward to what’s in store next! That includes his hairstyle! ^0^

And there’s just this drive in Shingo that makes me wanna charge forward. However he gets people feeling comfy and relaxed too. Thus, it’s just like – charge charge charge …and every now and then, take a break. Recharge yourself and come back again. Maybe this is what has been spurring me on all these while?

Liking him is so simple yet complex. It is not just his sensual appeal, it is not just his genki smile, it is not just his great contours, it is not just his humor, it is not just the pictures he creates, it is not just his pleasant otherwise loud voice …whatever … but it is all Shingo! There are so many facets of him, and he keeps developing them. And it’s an addiction finding these facets as a fan too!

Strive on, Katori-kun ! I’ll always support you from where I am !

A simple sign, a single smile;

The charm, the wit, the strength, the guile,

And though I prayed for summer bliss,

I never knew I'd feel like this.
