Subtle Fidelity

I wish you could glimpse the beauty I see.
Its hidden with all the little things.
I need to feel your soothing warmth,
I need you to know how much I love you.
Looking directly at the sun,
blinds you from all that glows.
Come with me to the other side.
The side that looks so dull.
The things you believe are small,
Are what make the big so great.
Open your eyes and look at me,
Take in the love when I touch your lips.
Become alert to how much I care.
Look under all the things you dislike,
Youll see me there with open arms.
My subtlety isnt meant to hurt you.
Try to love the little things,
Youll witness me among the rest.
Watch me curl up in the corner,
Lonely and starving for attention.
Tears are shedding from my eyes,
Trying to flush all my pain away.
Im tired of being on my own.
Tell me what I am doing wrong.
I can see the flowers start to wilt.
The sun has gone behind a cloud.
I really wish you were here with me,
Nothing seems as bright without you.

Raise me up to divinity.
Theres something I cant ascertain.
This is my own body.
Yet I have little control over the brain.
Something isnt right.
Theres something we need to fix.
We can start with this.
Give me the power to feel what I wish.
Emotional pain isnt one.
Give me the vision to see what is real,
Lies are far too common.
Make it much easier to deal with my loss,
Desertion is far too certain.
Endow me with the knowledge I need
To make it on my own.
