| Word Wall Activities |
| On the next 2 pages you will find our "Word Wall" words. These are words that the children will be expected to read and eventually spell. When we post a word we go through the following steps: 1. Read the word 2. Spell and "cheer" the word, identify the number of syllables in it. 3. Use it in a sentence 4. Find which letter to place it under on the "word wall" Since these words are visible in our room, the children are expected to spell them correctly when writing in their journals or in their creative writing. If they misspell one of the words, we "edit" their work, using the "word wall". |
