Back in the 1960's threw 1980s my Husband and I " Vincent and Phyllis Mazzaglia", raised and showed Afghan Hounds. We made several American Canadian champions, and a few Best in show. We owned Chaman Kennels at 118 west st Methuen Mass. We had 5 children I was a professional dog groomer out of our Kennel. My 2nd oldest son Barry was the handler and he still has a dog.. My husband was president of the Greater Lowell Kennel Club for 5 years. I helped run alot of the activities. We were made life long members. We were also awarded the Silver anniversary coin in 8-21-83. And also awarded The Gaines Medal for good sportsmanship by the club Back in 1978. We were very involved with the club at those times. Stewarding and help run shows and matches etc... For a while we were members of the Merrimack Valley Kennel Club because of the influence of our very good friends Irene and Harry Hart, and we gained a great passion for the standard Poodle from them and our breeding program took a passion for standard poodles. Back then we also had Harness/race horses and show horses. My son Vinny Jr was into the Harness Horses. He still has a horse and dog he was breeding horses for some time. . My Daughter Brenda took off in the horse world showing the horses She Was showing and Breeding Lippitt Morgan Horses for 17 years. Her Stallion was one of the top 5 Lippitt Morgan Stallions in the World at those times. Now she has one horse and Labrador Retrievers. We have a Long history with animals, We had some good times. My children are all grown and out of the house. I have recently lost Both my parents and my husband. I have gone to a smaller dogs, I have chosen the Papillons they are lovable, pretty, smart, easy to train, easy to take care of, they tell me when someone is at the door, they travel and sleep with me. They have made me smile when I wanted to cry. I just love the Papillon Breed. |
