"A" Litter Puppy Journal
With the popularity of weblogs, I decided it would be nice to do one for the puppies so their new families can keep track of how they're growing and everything. I can't promise daily updates at this point- so far, they don't do much besides eat, sleep, and get washed.

8/26/03 - Day One
Patsy wasn't due for another week,  so my roommate Myriam and I had planned to go to the waterpark with her little sister. We had started leaving Patsy in the puppy pen when we went out on Sunday, so she could start getting used to it. 10 minutes before we left, about 6:40 AM, I checked on Patsy,  and there was a puppy in her bed. 0.o I left to call Myriam's little sister to tell her about the changes of plans, and by the time I got back, there were two puppies! Alain followed VERY quickly after, and Aurelie and Angelina arrived by 9:30. This is uncommonly quick. Usually there is enough time between puppies for mom (occasionally with some help) to clean them up and get them all dry. This was not the case with this litter!

Day Three
I realize that I've made a mistake in colors. Angelina, Asterie, and Alban are not black! They're very dark sables!

Day Five
Poor Patsy is going stir-crazy, but she's such a good mom. These are possibly the CLEANEST puppies I've ever seen.

Day Eight
Finally got a camera and took some photos. Up tomarrow.

Day Ten
Aurelie's eyes are open! Puppies are growing so fast!

Day Eleven - 9/6/03
Everyone's eyes are open today and they are starting to be more active. I trimmed everyone's nails, since they are getting quite long. Posted more photos on the photo page

Day Twelve
More photos posted.

Day Forteen
They are starting to look even more like puppies and less like shapeless fuzzy slugs. Everyone is starting to have 'real' ears that either stand up, flop over, or both, depending on their size. Aurelie is starting to respond to noises by looking in their direction, and all of the puppies are beginning to push up onto their legs rather than just crawling. New photos today!
