| Texture and design play an important role in Lucinda Carlstrom's mixed-media constructions and quilts. She incorporates handmade papers, new and antique silk and 23K gold leaf and metal leaf in these piecework tapestries. Lucinda currently explores the play of color and reflection from mixing various shades of metals to an intensely rich surface design. Another series of work involves architectural themes. Traditional American quilt patterns were the foundation for this work and are still available. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
