Minutes for the Board Meeting May 5, 2002
10:01 AM Meeting Called to Order.
Minutes.
The Recording Secretary read the minutes
from the previous meeting and they were accepted by all.
Communications.
None mentioned.
Membership Report:
Four (4) new applications for membership were reviewed during this meeting. When the meeting was adjourned the Executive Board and the Membership Chairman met to vote on the applications. Three (3) were accepted, and one (1) was held over for questions.
Karl Kulesa, Gary Reed, and Kevin Squires were absent from the meeting.
Report of the Committees
None mentioned.
Unfinished Business:
Three (3) proposed constitutional changes were voted on after having been posted for the required thirty (30) days.
The constitutional change allowing the Membership Chairman to attend and vote on new membership applications was accepted.
The constitutional change raising the yearly dues $ 5.00 across the board was accepted.
The constitutional change requiring a sponsor to attend a meeting on behalf of a new member, and requiring the new member to attend one (1) meeting before acceptance was not accepted.
New Business:
The Red Cross Spring Blood Drive will be held on Monday, May 20th. Please donate!
A fundraiser will be held at the club on Saturday June 8th for the PAPC Softball Team. Tickets are $ 10.00 and include beer and a live band. BYOB
The next Steak Dinner will be held at the club on Thursday, June 13th. Tickets are available for $ 9.00 at the bar or at the door.
A bus trip to Fenway Park is scheduled for a 5:00 PM game, Saturday, September 7th. Sign–up will be available soon. The trip must be paid for in full at the time of sign-up.
Treasurer's Report.
The Treasurer’s report was read and accepted by all. We had seven hall rentals last month. Money is still tight, and insurance costs have increased significantly.

Thanks to Sonny for building the picnic tables, and to Scary Barry for helping out.
