Minutes for the Board Meeting August 4, 2002
10:06 AM Meeting Called to Order.
Minutes.
The Recording Secretary read the minutes recorded at the previous meeting and they were accepted by all.
Communications.
We received a Thank You card from Dale G. for the donation of flowers made on behalf of our departed brother Mike G.
We received a Thank You letter from scholarship recipient Matthew L.
We also received a $100 donation from Billy O. to cover the expenses for the quad racing team.
Membership Report:
Three (3) new applications for membership were reviewed during this meeting. When the meeting was adjourned the Executive Board and the Membership Chairman met to vote on the applications. All three (3) were accepted.
Gary R., Kevin S., and Carl K. were absent from the meeting.
Report of the Committees
None submitted.
Unfinished Business:
Another discussion was held on the subject of absences for club officers. At this point no more than three unexcused absences are allowed before an officer is asked to step down. Excused vs. un-excused absences were discussed. Any change in the policy would require a Constitutional revision. This issue was shelved without a motion for proposed changes.
A lawsuit has been filed against the PAPC on behalf of Keith F. for the injuries he sustained in the bar. The suit is currently in the discovery phase, and all involved parties will be asked to give depositions.
The Annual PAPC Outing is scheduled for this Saturday, August 10 th. The band will be Route 66. Tickets are available at the bar. We have a Work Party scheduled for this Wednesday evening, August 7th. Please help out!
New Business:
There was no new business to report.
Treasurer's Report.
The Treasurer’s report was submitted and accepted by all.
There were six (6) hall rentals last month.
This years taxes and insurance have been paid in full.
New HEPA filters were installed on the smoke eaters recently.
Good & Welfare:
A bus trip to Fenway Park is scheduled for a 5:00 PM game, Saturday, September 7th. A Sign up sheet is posted. The trip must be paid for in full at the time of sign up.
A shot and a beer to all who attended this meeting.
