Proposed Constitutional Change
This change will be voted on during the Membership Meeting held May 5, 2002
Currently the Constitution reads as follows:
Article V: Membership, Section 1: Eligibility
A candidate is accepted upon the vote of two thirds (2/3) of the members present at the next executive board meeting, and said vote shall be by ballot if so raised by any member. A member becomes eligible for office after the expiration of one (1) year of membership in good standing.
The Constitution shall be changed as follows:
A candidate is accepted upon the vote of two thirds (2/3) of the members present at the next executive board meeting, and said vote shall be by ballot if so raised by any member. The Membership Chairman is allowed to attend the executive board meeting and vote on new members in addition to the executive board members. A member becomes eligible for office following the expiration of one (1) year of membership in good standing.
