The Mt. Pleasant, Saginaw-Chippewa, and Shepherd Tri Township fire departments will present a fire safety program.  The Saginaw-Chippewa department will also have a fire truck available for viewing.

September 27  2pm to 6pm
John Martinez will demonstrate the art of pumpkin sculpting.  John a CMU graduate, is a master in the art of pumpkin sculpting and an Art teacher at Bridgeport High School. 

Maria Meyers of the Aabizikaawin Adult and Alternate Education Program (Saginaw Chippewa Academy) will exhibit her collection of Native American regalia and share her experiences.  She will help participants construct Native American beadwork.

Suzi Tengen will demonstrate hand dipping of beaswax/paraffin candles over an open fire.  The process is slow and takes approximately 90 minutes to make a set of eight candles.   The candles burn longer than standard candles and have a pleasant aroma. 

Gordon Tengen will demonstrate the use of hit-n-miss farm engines from the early 1900's used to help the family with chores.  Demonstrations will show the shelling of corn and making cracked corn by an engine driven burr mill.  There will also be an engine powered generator that lights an old light bulb.  Included will be two running scale models of old farm engines. 

Richard Recker of Recker Toy Tractors will share experiences in collecting farm toys and pedal tractors.  If you have any old farm toys, bring them for Richard to inspect and appraise them.

October 4   2pm to 4pm
Ann Eby will present Gourd Crafts.  Ann will share her gourd craft exhibit and help participants construct some  gourd craft pieces.  Appropriate for all ages.

Heather Miller, Educational Consultant with Discovery Toys will have an interactive disply for children of all ages.  Come learn about educational and developmentally approprate toys for your children

Emmett Purtill of Summerton Apiaries will answer questions about bees, bee safety, and their role in plant pollination.  He will also have an observation hive on display.

October 11   2pm to 6pm
PEAK (Partners Empowering All Kids) Nate Lockwood of the Mt. Pleasant Department of Parks and Recration will discuss recreation and education programs available for kids after school and during the Summer.  PEAK participants will exhibit Fall art projects.

Sargent LaLone of the youth services unit will give a community policing demonstration.

October 18   2pm to 6pm
