biography of:

Gino M. Herring

Gino M. Herring has been a sociologist since birth. Born and raised in South Florida, Herring is the son of a Hispanic mother and African-American father. His interests include multiculturalism, educational psychology, and the differences and similarities of people. His multicultural background provides the stimulus for his thought-provoking poems and autobiographical stories.

As a member of the International Library of Poetry, Herring has published many short works. He is currently working on his first of three novels in a series titled, �The �other� Box.� A brief description of this book can be found at: http://www.otherbox.net.

While aspiring to be a successful writer, Herring also reaches out to many community and educational groups with hopes of promoting self-awareness and cultural history. Herring strongly believes that knowing one�s history is the first step to understanding others.
