TJ was another rescue cat, a kitten that was found rummaging a city dumpster container for food. He had bubble gum stuck to his coat when we brought him home.
We had just moved from Union City, CA to our Daughter & Son-In-Laws home in Sacramento. With us we brought an orange tabby whom we dubbed the "Love Cat". His givin name was Whiskers.
Whiskers and TJ quickly became best buddies. When Whiskers was killed several years later by a pack of dogs, TJ was forelorned. He would rome our Penn Valley yard crying and looking for Whiskers. I don't think he ever got over his loss.
Even though we have replaced Whiskers with six other cats, TJ has not befriended any of them. TJ does not like change. Whenever we change the yard (landscape), he gets very upset and cries his concerns.
I believe that TJ wanted to take his place in the hierachy, but was too much of a whoos and finally gave in to whomever wanted his position.
