Ghost was so named because of the way he appeard from a distance.
We had an orange colored tabby that ruled the neighborhood. The tabby was killed by a pack of dogs. Ghost appeard not long after we buried the tabby. Susette saw Ghost at first, from a distnance and thought it was the orange tabby, but everytime she approached the cat, it would disappear like a ghost.
After repeated tries, Susette was able to befriend this "not so wild" cat, and gained his trust. After a while the cat ingratiated himself into the family.
Ghost became close friends with our dog Sasha, following her all around the yard
One day, Ghost disappeared and was never seen again.
