Frankie was so named after Frank Sinatra because of her "blue eyes". She came to us through my sister-in-law, Aimee Labate.
Frankie was abused as a kitten because the original owner obssesively used chemicals in her home to keep it clean and sterile. These chemicals would get on the cat's coat. Needless to say, when the cat cleaned herself, she would lick the chemicals and cause her to lose her appetite. Her keen sence of smell was also effected.
When Aime found out about the cat's abuse, she asked the owner if she could have the cat. Aimee then asked us if we would take her.
Frankie is now a healthy mature, loving cat. Sometimes I think she thinks she's a dog, the way she follows us around the yard, into the house, back out into the yard.I think she is grateful for the home, yard and love that she receives.
